How did you get into audiobook production?
With a lifelong passion for storytelling that spans books, music, movies, and stage productions, I was overjoyed to discover audiobook narration. Suddenly, I could immerse myself in fantastical worlds and bring every character to life with my voice. It was exhilarating – like being a kid in a candy store, sampling every flavor and exploring endless possibilities.
What are your favorite genres to produce?
I’m a fan of informational books, especially when they venture into unexpected territories that broaden my knowledge. However, mystery novels truly captivate me. I adore a well-crafted, slow-burning page-turner that keeps me on the edge of my seat, fueling my curiosity from start to finish.
Experience?
Throughout my career in design, a quiet calling had been beckoning me to the world of audio. As a young student, I discovered my knack for public speaking, often winning contests that left me surprised yet intrigued. Later, I explored my creative side as a rapper and radio broadcaster, but it wasn’t until 2018, when I was encouraged to try audiobook narration, that the door truly swung open. After recording my first book, I knew I’d found my fit. Every time I picked up the microphone, success followed. It was as if I’d finally found my purpose. I’ve since narrated over 100 books under my name, Clare Radix, and various pseudonyms. This site showcases some of my favorites, but you can find my full portfolio on Audible.
